Malted Fudgy Brownies
1 cup quick oatmeal½ cup all purpose flour
½ cup packed brown sugar
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup butter, melted
1 (21.5-oz) pkg Betty Crocker fudge brownie mix
¾ cup instant malted milk powder (dry)
1 cup powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla
2 to 3 tsp water
Heat oven to 350^. Mix oatmeal, flour, brown sugar, soda and salt. Mix in butter. Press in bottom of ungreased square pan, 9x9x2 inches. Bake 10 minutes. Cool 2 minutes.
Prepare brownie mix as directed on package – except add instant malted milk powder before mixing. Carefully spread batter over baked layer. Bake 45 to 50 minutes or until set. (Do not overbake.) Cool completely.
Beat powdered sugar, vanilla and enough water to make of drizzling consistency. Drizzle over cooled brownies. Cut into squares to serve.
