Party Appetizer Sauce
Donna's Recipe
1 1/2 lbs meatballs from your favorite meatball recipe ir 2 pkgs. Little Smokies
12 oz. grape Jelly
2 bottles of chili sauce
2 T. Lemon juice (optional)
2 bottles of chili sauce
2 T. Lemon juice (optional)
Heat grape jelly until melted and smooth. Add chili sauce and lemon juice. Heat through and add frozen meatballs. Heat through and simmer for at least one hour. Make sure all meatballs get covered and simmer in sauce. You can add a tbsp. dijon mustard and 1/4 cup brown sugar for a spicier sauce.
Christina's Recipe
1 (18-ounce) package fully cooked meatballs, frozen or 2 pkgs. Little Smokies
1 (10-ounce) jar grape jelly
1 (16-ounce) bottle ketchup
Combine the grape jelly and ketchup in a large, heavy saucepan.
Stir over medium heat to blend the jelly and ketchup.
Add the meatballs and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
Terry's Recipe
1 lb. meatballs
1 cup ketchup
1 cup Coke or Pepsi
Mix together ketchup and Coke, add meatballs and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
There is much debate in our family as to which recipe is the best, but they all taste pretty much the same to me.
